Accountancy Franchise Event Positive Despite Slowdown

The UK’s leading accountancy franchise's 12th annual conference remained upbeat despite the dire economic climate – possibly aided by the appearance of Ronnie Corbett.
It was perhaps also due to the fact that TaxAssist Accountants, the accountancy and taxation experts for small businesses, are confident that demand for their services tends to remain resilient throughout business cycles. Businesses always need accountants, after all.
The event, which took place at Chesford Grange in Kenilworth, enjoyed the largest turnout ever of its national network of accountants, with over 350 attending. Guests enjoyed a formal black-tie gala dinner and awards ceremony, with Ronnie Corbett presenting the ‘gongs’.
Karl Sandall, chief executive of TaxAssist Accountants, says:
“We were delighted to celebrate our conference with Ronnie Corbett, our entire network and their staff. It’s always an enjoyable event, and provides a great opportunity for franchisees to get to know each other, share ideas and experiences and to reinforce the message that TaxAssist Accountants is now a major force to be reckoned with.”
