Franchise Spotlight: Property Management Franchise in Spain or Morocco

Part of the OPML Group (Overseas Property Management & Lettings), Resort Morocco is a sister franchise to the more established Murcia Villas, also a property management business, but a franchise in Spain.

AS well as speaking to Mounir Belmahi, the new franchisee for Saidia, a Moroccan seaside resort, we spoke to Hugh James, founder of the OPML Group, about their new recruit.

FS Blog: Mounir, how did you end up buying a franchise in Morocco?

Mounir: I worked in the overseas property department market in southern Spain and Morocco, specialising in marketing and sales, for over four years.

Although I worked all over Morocco, I focused on Saidia – I just love the place.

Unfortunately I was made redundant, and my friend and old work colleague proposed franchising as an idea.

FS Blog: Why did you decide to buy a Murcia Villas property management franchise?

Mounir: I’ve found them brilliant and supportive all the way, and honestly, I couldn’t ask for more.

FS Blog: Any advice for aspiring franchisees?

Mounir: At first, a franchise might seem like a big thing to take on, but trust me, after visiting the offices and seeing it happening before your eyes, you get so excited, because nothing beats running your own business.

Which brings me to the training: it really puts you in the picture. It’s just common sense and, most importantly, it’s simple.

FS Blog: So, Hugh, tell us why you were happy to let Mounir join your brand?

Hugh James: Mounir is a quick learner and very keen to succeed.

We’re thrilled to have him on board as our first franchisee in Saidia and look forward to giving him all the support he needs to make his business a profitable, long-term venture.
