Official approval for health care franchise247 Professional Health has received accreditation from leading health care associations.
When the leading health care franchise began in Southport in December 2008 it had had no office, equipment, staff or clients. Only a year on it has received the endorsement of four major players in the health care franchise industry.
247 Professional Health is now accredited by the following organisations:
The Care Quality Commission
The regulator of health and social care. Their aim is to make sure better care is provided for everyone, whether that’s in hospital, in care homes, in people’s own homes or elsewhere. 247 Professional Health is accredited by the Care Quality Commission to deliver health and care services in all establishments and in old people’s homes.
The Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC)
Representative body for the UK’s £27bn private staffing industry with a membership of more than 8,000 corporate members comprising agencies and businesses from all sectors and 6,000 members of the Institute of Recruitment Professionals made up of recruitment consultants and other industry professionals. All members must abide by an REC Code of Professional Practice.
United Kingdom Homecare Association (UKHCA)
Professional association of home care providers from the independent, voluntary, not-for-profit and statutory sectors. UKHCA helps organisations that provide social care, which may include nursing services, to people in their own homes, promoting high standards of care and providing representation with national and regional policy-makers and regulators. The Association represents over 1,600 members across the United Kingdom, in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

247 Professional Health Southport has opened several major accounts and is now one of the largest independent staff suppliers throughout Sefton, Merseyside and Greater Manchester, providing staff to residential homes, care and rest homes, EMI care homes, nursing homes, learning disability centres, mental health centre’s, hospitals, local authority domiciliary contracts and private domiciliary care contracts.
The Southport turnover is now expected at £1.2m for 2009/2010.
