The children’s entertainment franchise has just recruited Geraldine McDonnell to its county Mayo territory, bringing the number of Emerald-Isle franchisees to 12.

FS Blog: What made you buy a franchise?
Geraldine McDonnell: I felt the research and the development of the business would have been done already and I wanted to be my own boss, but with added support and backup from the franchisor.
FS Blog: And why Kids Party Club in particular?
Geraldine: What attracted me to Kids Party Club initially was its website: not only was it professional, but it had a fun yet businesslike approach to it.
It ticked all the boxes for me such as being part of an established business, with 11 other franchisees, the fact I could work from home, as I still have a young family, and I knew there was a market for this kind of children's entertainment in Mayo.
FS Blog: How has the training been?
Geraldine: It was excellent, intense and covered all of the aspects of what the Kids Party Club wants to achieve through its franchises. I came away secure in the knowledge that I knew exactly what I was doing and that there is a support system there at all times for me.
I was particularly impressed with the attention to even the smallest of detail.
FS Blog: So overall you’re happy with the franchise?
Geraldine: To me Kids Party Club is the best children's entertainment franchise nationally and with great support from all the team it makes this business even more appealing.

Geraldine McDonnell is a perfect living example of an investor who succeeded as a franchisee. She definitely did a lot of research. She knew what she wanted in a franchise. Also, I believe that she did her own research on some of Kids Party Club's successful franchisees. Buying a great franchise is indeed an excellent option to start your business career especially if you are well-prepared for it. By your focus and willingness to learn, you will have a great career in franchising.
