Work-From-Home Franchisees: Why We Joined

The latest work-from-home franchisees at Auditel have explained why they chose the cost and purchase management experts.

The newcomers to Auditel, which reported record franchisee recruitment in January and February, were attracted for a variety of reasons.

Buckingham-based Simon Kennedy was recently made redundant from his role as a marketing manager.

After the turmoil of losing his job, he wanted a career opportunity with a high chance of success:

“Following redundancy, I wanted to take control of my career through self-employment.

“A franchised approach presented a great opportunity.

“I chose Auditel as they offered the best chance of success.”

Ex-banker Martin Duhig, from Tunbridge Wells, was also made redundant.

He wanted to work from home, but had a long fruitless search before finding Auditel.

“I had been looking casually for the right home-based franchise for five years without finding something that excited me or matched my skills.

“Once I met Auditel I knew my search was over.

“In my opinion, there is nothing else to match their professionalism, dynamism and the sheer opportunity to build a very profitable business of my own.”

Established in 1994, Auditel has built a network of over 120 highly skilled cost and purchase management specialists.

The cost management specialists’ outsourced services have been much in demand as organisations struggle to stay afloat during the recession.

So, amid dire trading conditions, more than one in five franchisees are currently earning in excess of £100k in this recession-proof sector.

Following its record start to the year, March has again been a successful month for finding franchisees, with a fresh intake from the banking, financial, property, IT and retail sectors.

Lifelong training and professional development play an important part in the Auditel support programme.
New franchisees receive 13 days’ residential training, three follow-up workshops, one-to-one appraisals during their first year and two accompanied sales visits.

They also have a support manager assigned to them for regular assessment of their fortunes.

A brand-new benefit included in the franchise fee is a fully configured wireless notebook PC containing Auditel manuals and business software.

After his initial training course, Robin Cockburn, a former head of a financial services firm in Edinburgh, reported:

“The training course was delivered by professionals who know the business inside out.

“It was excellent and exceeded my expectations.”

Auditel’s head of marketing, Laurence Knott, says:

“Your skills and hard work, in conjunction with our tried and tested business model, could provide you with a secure and recession-proof future, an impressive return on investment and a better work-life balance.

“There has never been a better time to invest in your own ability.”
