The number of companies considering steps to reduce their costs has almost doubled during the recession.
According to a survey by accountants Baker Tilly, the proportion of businesses paring back expenditure has jumped from 26% to 45%.
This can only be good news for cost management specialists. Last month, the Hay Group said, “there is a right way and a wrong way for companies to take out costs,” so naturally companies will be keen to entrust the job of trimming budgets to experts such as Auditel.
The consultancy franchise, founded in 1994, specialises in communications, energy, business consumables, water and sewerage, premises management and finance related services. However they also work across a range of the other essential sectors.
On 12 June Auditel hosted their third conference and exhibition at Whittlebury Hall near Towcester, Northants. Auditel’s partner companies for the event included EDF Energy, British Gas, Shell LPG, Travelex, Bluefin Insurance Services, Uniworld, UK Telco, Drivers Jonas, Inenco, Scottish and Southern Energy and Phase Office Supplies.
Called Growing Your Business in a Recession, the event showcased how Auditel, together with their partners, are helping businesses take advantage of the current economic climate and prepare for better times ahead, to emerge stronger than before.
Auditel’s managing director, Chris Allison, says:
“This annual exhibition is one of the most important events in our calendar. It gives us a unique opportunity to build valuable relationships and develop our in-depth market knowledge.
“It also raises our profile even higher as the UK’s leading provider of independent cost and purchase management consultancy.”
