Auditel Franchise Inspires Godwins
Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at 9:50AM The Godwins looked at a number of franchise opportunities.
What made the Auditel franchise stand out was the management team - it's integrity, professionalism and dedication.
Brilliant beginning
Philip and Pam Godwin have enjoyed much success since joining the cost management franchise in January. They are beginning to sign up clients – with plans to sign 11 by December.
The Godwins were given an intensive two weeks of training, covering basic client acquisition and technical expertise.
“I was concerned that I may be out of my depth, having no previous business or relevant industry experience,” says Pam. “The training gave so much information and the confidence that I would be able to put what I had learnt into practice.”
Nottingham-based Philip had been employed in a senior management role by one of the UK’s leading integrated power and gas companies before facing redundancy in 2009. His wife Pam had been a teacher for over 20 years. Rather then stay in employment, they wanted a different venture.
“We wanted to reduce business start-up risk by using a proven business model,” Philip recalls. “We had spotted Auditel as far back as 1998, so it was in the back of our minds.”
Pam said she chose Auditel because it gave her scope to work together with her husband, and bother brought complementary skills to the business.
Professional, supportive
Pam is fulsome with praise for the support received from the franchisor.
“The Auditel team were professional from the start. They were fully supportive and able to answer all the questions we posed in our decision-making process.”
Philip reveals financial control can be lost by businesses in the hustle and bustle of day-to-day operations, without the necessary focus being applied. “This is where the Auditel proposition delivers,” Philip says. “It provides overburdened management with an independent outsourced cost management service for key non-core costs.”
Pam adds: “In my opinion the importance of Auditel is the benefit of being able to draw upon particular expertise when dealing with a variety of circumstances. Our network of over 150 specialists with market knowledge spanning over so many years is at the disposal of all the affiliates and their clients.”
Auditel has been in the marketplace for 15 years with the accompanying reduced risk. It offers a business model that is adaptable to lifestyle and has a commitment to ongoing personal development. Philip and Pam Godwin, with their two children, are adjusting to a new work/life balance exceptionally well.
