Internet Franchise Still Flourishing
Friday, May 7, 2010 at 10:52AM ORCA Website franchisees are still cashing in on small businesses’ demand for the internet.
Industry body Nielsen Online has revealed online retail traffic has increased by 10% in the past year and online sales are projected to rise by 12% by the end of 2010.
Dean Watmough, managing director of ORCA Websites, believes the reason the internet franchise is proving to be so popular is because small businesses realise the internet is the lifeline they need to survive.
Watmough says: “We are perfectly poised to take advantage of the current economic conditions as more and more local businesses look to the internet to help them become more profitable.
“There is no doubt that the current economic climate and huge changes in the job market are behind the upsurge in franchise enquiries. The people we are speaking to are seeing this as a huge opportunity to put their skills and knowledge to good use and invest in a successful franchise that ticks all the right boxes.”
Watmough adds: “One thing is certain, the internet is the future of business. The public expects a business to be online and any business that does not have a professionally designed website simply will not survive. When you realise that there isn’t a business in your local area that you can’t help, you’ll see just how huge this market is!”
ORCA Websites is enjoying unprecedented demand for its franchises, with three territories now being allocated this month and several more to follow.

Agree that internet is the future of business. Internet users are increasing exponentially with time and also opting for online trading. They found it easy to shop online compared to going out to the store. This has also made internet a very competitive field. Businesses without online presence are loosing big amount of potential customers. Internet is going far then expected.
