Cartridge World’s Sponsorship Proves Successful

Cartridge World franchise sponsorshipCartridge World’s latest campaign, involving sponsorship of the Honda Racing Team in the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) 2010, is already proving a winner.

The printing/copy/design franchise is continually looking for fresh new ways to support its 230 franchise stores in the UK with innovative PR and marketing initiatives. Cartridge Worlds’ sponsorship of Honda Racing Team brings a great opportunity for exposure both for the brand and for its stores across the UK.

Teaming up with Honda (UK) and Team Dynamics for the ten-race season is driving in results both on and off the racing track. Celebrity racing driver, Gordon “Flash” Shedden and his partner, two-times BTCC champion Matt Neal, showed their race-winning potential at Oulton Park circuit on 6th June when they brought home gold and two silver in the third round of the 2010 season.

Off the track, the racing car makes regular pit stops at individual Cartridge World stores throughout the UK, offering racing fans the chance to see the road-going replica of the Cartridge World liveried car, which is touring the country to tie-in with the BTCC racing calendar. These local events attract attention from both the press and the public when the Cartridge World car rolls into their town centre or visits local schools and colleges.

What’s more, the events are linked to promotions for the individual Cartridge World stores, including vouchers for free ink, and a chance for fans to win their own one-off Honda Civic Type R MUGEN Concept car through an online Honda (UK) promotion.

This year the BTCC is receiving massive TV coverage across the ITV network and the itv.com website live-streams ITV4’s race-day coverage. Event attendance levels reached 325,000 across the ten rounds last year, trackside crowds are often bigger than many Premiership football games and 2010 looks set for the same success.

Mark Holland, UK general manager for Cartridge World says, “This partnership highlights the connection between two well-known brands and provides excellent promotional opportunities for our stores. Both Cartridge World and Honda represent quality manufacturing, reliability and good value for money.

“Both companies share common goals, including a ‘zero waste to landfill’ policy and it’s also good news that both the cars and our printer cartridges are ‘made in Britain’.”

The ten-event BTCC season runs through to 10th October, with the next race at Croft, North Yorkshire on 20th June.
