Martin & Co Employee Buys Company Franchise

Martin & Co was the obvious choice for former employee Susan Hume, who was looking for a flexible franchise model.

Susan had been employed at Martin & Co in Fife as a senior negotiator prior to becoming a franchise owner in Dundee.

With a strong customer service and sales background, Susan’s ‘can-do will-do’ approach has already begun to pay off; within six weeks of opening her letting agency franchise in June she has had over 40 properties on her books and her business continues to expand.

Susan has always been passionate to start a business and the flexible franchising opportunity with Martin & Co allowed her to do that.

Susan’s daughter is the British swimming champion for 100m and 200m freestyle and is training hard, long hours for the 2012 Olympics. Running a business allows Susan to support her daughter with early morning training sessions and accompany her on important competitions – the Commonwealth Games in India being one of them.

No stranger to property, Susan has worked extensively in lettings and has been a landlord herself, giving her a good understanding of property-owner expectations. She insists that all her staff have the same high level of expertise.
