Electrical Franchise Cut Energy Costs

Mr. Electric at Buzzards Valley in TamworthMr. Electric completed a lighting project for Buzzards Valley in Tamworth, implementing their ‘Conserve’ campaign to help reduce the environmental impact of customer operations.

The electrical franchise campaign also reflects the companies concerns with environmental issues. Energy costs are constantly changing and environmental concerns regarding global warming are putting economic and political pressure on commercial businesses.

One of the easiest solutions for commercial businesses to make dramatic energy savings is through the replacement of inefficient lighting. Mr. Electric has come across many businesses that are incurring huge costs due to high energy consumption. The solution is really simple - install energy saving lighting throughout the commercial building using a Carbon Trust interest free loan.

Mr. Electric recently completed a lighting project for Buzzards Valley in Tamworth, which is a large wholesale premises offering product supplies for florists, gift shops and interior designers. To fund the project which cost £17,900 a Carbon Trust interest free loan was used. The Carbon Trust offer loans of between £3,000 and £500,000 for any project, which reduces the Carbon footprint of certain commercial organisations.

Leon Jones, the owner of Buzzards Valley commented, “The Carbon Trust Loan makes perfect sense from the customer’s point of view, the numbers speak for themselves. The project was handled very professionally by Mr. Electric, Jeff Longley and the team from the Birmingham North office can be very proud of their achievement.”

Leon continues, “The lights last around 20 times longer, which means less maintenance costs and less unsightly lights not working.”

Jeff Longley of Mr. Electric comments, “Replacing the lighting in a commercial premises is a very sensible business decision and can make significant cost savings. Lighting technology has advanced so much in recent years with efficiency levels that are very impressive.
“Carbon Trust loans can be used for lighting projects and other energy saving projects, which reduce the carbon footprint of a business. A commercial business can make 5 Carbon Trust Loan applications, so a re-lamping project should just be the start.”

Mr. Electric know what to do and can help customers through the whole process. Leon Jones explains, “Mr. Electric helped us to complete the Carbon Trust Loan application and made the process really easy. We have also had a big cash flow boost, which is always welcome for any business. I could not be happier with the service provided by Mr. Electric; they turned up on time and completed a tidy and professional job.”

Clive Houlston, managing director for Mr. Electric UK says, “Carbon Trust Loans help businesses to finance energy saving projects, which also reduce costs significantly. We should know as energy efficient lighting has been installed in our office. It really is a sensible decision and one that I hope many more businesses will take advantage of.”

I think this makes so much sense to me because as a franchise you offer a service that is 'green', which is obviously news worthy in our current times, and then you also save your customers a lot of money while doing so. I think Mr. Electric did a great job for themselves with this piece of news. It can be very profitable If you can figure out how to connect your business with the 'green' movement in the eyes of your customers.
