The well known local brand Archer’s Jersey Ice Cream has just opened a new Franchise Ice Cream Parlour in Northallerton North Yorkshire – in the middle of the coldest spell of weather for 40 years.
Chris and Graham Daniel have invested in the Ice Cream Franchise after Graham was made redundant a year ago. It has taken about four months to get the venture up and running.
“We signed the lease on the shop in October and since then we have not stopped – converting a sports shop into a modern Ice Cream Manufacturing unit, Parlour and Coffee Shop, just off the High Street”, commented Chris.
The official opening is on Thursday 9th December with the honours being done by Councillor Sally Anderson, Mayor of Northallerton, two weeks before Christmas. Archer’s Jersey Ice Cream has won a number of awards in recent years including Taste North East 2009 and Guild of Fine Foods Gold for their Christmas Pudding Ice Cream, which is often asked for long after the celebrations are over.
With a small batch production unit at each site, Archer’s can manufacture a significant quantity of Ice Cream to stock the parlours and supply other outlets such as local restaurants and hotels while maintaining the highest quality.
Using only Jersey Milk and the best ingredients and flavours, Archer’s produce a range of over 40 ice cream flavours. Unique Ice Cream Cakes are made to order using a combination of any of our flavours.
The new Northallerton Parlour can seat about 30 customers and, in addition to their fresh Italian style ice cream, serves their own blend Coffee, Teas, Hot Chocolate and other treats, always with a warm welcome no matter how cold the weather – you would be amazed how popular the ice cream is even when it’s -10º outside!
