<p><strong>MH: </strong>This business started in 1993 when my now ex-wife was pregnant with our eldest daughter. The franchise business was launched after 10 successful years of operation.</p>
<p><strong>MC: How did you come up with the idea to start this business?</strong></p>
<p><strong>MH: </strong>We looked at a variety of home-based business ideas, but wasn&rsquo;t not happy with the constraints of traditional cleaning franchises at that time so we re-engineered the best elements of the business models we had seen.</p>

<p>Here she talks about the transition and how the move has given her added security and more time with her family.</p>
<p><strong>What did you do before becoming a Riverford Franchisee?</strong><br />I worked mainly as a consultant in the public sector providing virtual assistant services such as sales and marketing support. However, with the recession, money in the sector began drying up and I could foresee the need for my role disappearing.</p>
<p>That would have left me with no income and nothing to do, so my husband Andy and I started looking into buying a business.</p>
<p><strong>How did you become owners of the Guildford Franchise territory?</strong></p>
<p>It was actually a friend of mine in the public sector who drew my attention to Riverford Organic.
