Auditel franchisee Steve Ray and business partner Clare Power-BrownePlanning to grow his business franchise, Steve Ray found himself a business partner.

Steve’s partner for the past year, Claire Power-Browne, had just spent four years as the overseas programme manager for a charity, with wide-ranging responsibilities.

“Every day was different and during that time I gained a diverse skill set,” she says. “So if you need a goat milking, I’m your woman!”

Work from Home Franchise Welcomes Latest Franchisee

From Ludlow & Tenbury Wells Advertiser: A Tenbury woman is joining the growing ranks of young mums going into business.

Jennifer Fish, aged 35, is putting her design skills to good use with her Activ Web Design business.

Working from home means that Jennifer can balance running a successful business with looking after her two young children, who are aged just four and six, and she also has a 16-year-old stepson.

Marketer Joins Consultancy Franchise

Auditel franchise logoTim Latham joined Auditel after becoming tired of the corporate environment.

Tim, who is based in Warwick, began working from home with the top consultancy franchise in June 2009.

He spent 15 years in the automotive industry, working in various sales and marketing roles, most recently helping to launch the award-winning Jaguar XF in the UK.

FS Blog: Why did you decide to buy a franchise?

Tim Latham: I was a little frustrated by the corporate environment. I often thought about working for myself but didn’t have the ‘killer business idea’ or marketable experience to go it alone.

Top Number Cruncher Joins Auditel Franchise

Chartered accountant Mike Jackson has joined a leading consultancy franchise.

In April 2009, Edinburgh-based Mike Jackson launched a new career, joining Auditel, the cost and purchase management franchise.

With a background in accountancy and taxation, Mike trained and qualified as a chartered accountant with Coopers and Lybrand in Edinburgh. Post-qualification, he moved to Sydney for six years with PricewaterhouseCoopers. Mike says, “I wanted the ability to work for myself, but with the security of a proven business model and a network of like-minded colleagues. I chose franchising as the best option.”

Home-Based Franchise Owner on NY Marathon

Having run the New York City Marathon and joined Auditel, Jack Pokoj can consider 2009 a productive year.

Pokoj, who boasts 25 years experience in communications and IT, joined the home-based franchise in March. Last month he ran one of the world’s most famous marathons to raise money for Breast Cancer Care.

The New York Marathon is draws more than 100,000 applicants annually, including world-class professional athletes. Two million spectators and worldwide television viewers cheer on the 70,000 participants.
