Franchisee Story: Fitness Franchise Owner

SHOKK franchise logo“Maybe it’s because I’m just a kid at heart” – this is one of the reasons why Catherine Weir decided to become the first Scottish franchisee of SHOKK.

The 25 year old has been successfully operating her fitness franchise from premises in Dundee since 2008, and believes it’s the best decision she has ever made.

Catherine says, “Although I studied psychology at Aberdeen University, I knew that I didn’t harbour any ambition to become a psychologist. After my degree course, I stayed on and studied health and nutrition as part of a health sciences degree and I’m really glad I did, as that knowledge plays a major role in my current work.”

Fitness Franchise Targets Thrifty Customers

Mayor officially opens fitness franchiseThe fourth énergie Fit4less centre was opened in Canterbury at the weekend by the Lord Mayor of Canterbury.

The £16.99 all-in monthly customer fee has been devised by the fitness franchise to appeal to recession-hit communities and for people looking to exercise on a budget, and those that have little need for luxuries.

Following a £0.25m refurbishment, the Lower Bridge Street venue will offer a ‘no frills’ fitness venue for spending-savvy and health conscious consumers.

The fitness club offers state-of-the-art equipment with personal viewing screens and clean spacious changing facilities; but will not have pampering extras such as spas, steam rooms, and saunas.

However, management state having a cheap member fee does not mean standards drop.
