Care Franchise Workers Commended for Excellence

Care-at-home franchise workerBluebird Care held a celebration and awards ceremony, paying tribute to two outstanding members of staff.

Two care workers – Paula Bates and Sam Young – have been with the health care franchise almost since it the company started, over three years ago.

Paula and Sam were presented with a bouquet and a buffet was provided for all staff during the celebrations at the office in Broad Street, Cannock.

MP Praises Care Franchise

Paul Burstow MP and Tom Brake MP with care franchise CEOPaul Burstow, MP and Minister of State for care services, praised the role of Home Instead Senior Care in creating choices for elderly people.

Burstow formally opened the company’s care franchise office covering the London Borough of Sutton on Friday, 23rd July. The event was also attended by MP Tom Brake.

Speaking as he formally opened the Sutton office, Paul Burstow talked of the ‘unbelievable gift’ of being made care services minister, and of the commission launched earlier in the week to come up with a recommendation as to how we pay for care.

Care Franchise Owner Wins Top Award

Care franchise workerGail Syratt from the Bluebird Care has won the coveted title of Care Manager of the Year at the Scottish Care at Home Awards.

Gail is based in Edinburgh and has beaten off competition from 776 other care franchise managers across Scotland.

A trained nurse, Gail says, “I am so delighted to have won. I have always done my very best to surpass customer expectations - to go that extra mile. Providing care particularly for older people is something I feel passionate about as this is often a neglected service.

Bluebird Care a Finalist in Franchise Awards

Bluebird care franchise logoBluebird Care was one of only eight companies to reach the prestigious finals of June’s Franchisor of the Year Awards.

Run by the British Franchise Association (BFA), the award ceremony was held at the East Midlands Conference Centre in Nottingham, where the care service franchise faced stiff competition from household names, such as McDonalds, Domino’s Pizza and Driver Hire.
