X2 Games, the wholly owned publishing subsidiary of award-winning UK developer Exient Ltd, has announced that the pizza redemption mechanic for their iPhone title Papa’s Pizzeria has passed the final testing phases and is now incorporated within the game.

The new mechanic gives players the opportunity to redeem in-game codes for real world prizes when they place an order with Papa John’s Pizza, allowing consumers to not only create Papa John’s pizzas but enjoy the taste as well.

Pizza Franchise Caters for Phone Users

Pizza franchise; pepperoni pizzaPapa John’s has launched the UK’s first mobile web ordering site - another reason to buy a Papa John's franchise.

The use of mobile internet in the UK has expanded massively in recent years, with current estimates suggesting that up to a quarter of the population now use the internet on their phones.

The leading pizza franchise already sees around 10% of orders coming from customer phones despite having no tailored mobile website and this has led to the development of the new site.

Domino's Franchise Revels in Recession's Efforts

From the Financial Times: In the 16 years since two Anglo-American brothers bought the rights to own, operate and franchise Domino’s stores in the UK and Ireland from its US parent, the pizza delivery chain has risen to become one of the biggest and most successful franchises in the country.

The numbers make for impressive reading. Having built a chain of 553 franchised stores, the group, which floated on Aim in 1999 and moved to the main market last year, accounts for one in six home delivered meals in Britain and one in three pizzas.

Franchises Feel Undervalued in Scotland

From The Times: Scottish Enterprise asked to give more help to schemes like those offered by Domino's Pizza, Subway, The Streat and McDonalds.

Lisa Tobias started working for Domino’s Pizza while still at school. Now she runs four franchises in the west of Scotland with a turnover of £2m and employs 120 people.

After dropping out of university at 19, she joined the company full-time to manage one of its shops before deciding to go for a franchise of her own.
