West Sussex-based Kevin Curran spent 36 years with HSBC Bank, mainly working within the commercial and corporate sector. Prior to leaving early in 2010, he held the position of Regional Commercial Director. Finding himself in a redundancy position, he directed his mind to the future.

We are proud to announce that TaxAssist Accountants, the UK’s largest accountancy franchise network to specialise in accountancy services for small businesses, has now reached the milestone of 130 shop fronts.

TaxAssist Accountants now has 188 franchisees across the UK, who cover over 200 outlets and 10 franchisees in the Republic of Ireland.

All franchisees are required to move to a shop front within three years of joining the network, with the retail style outlets aimed at attracting the local small and medium sized business owner with a fresh, modern and stylish look.

Woman Franchisee of the Year Award

TaxAssist Accountants would like to congratulate their accountancy franchise owner Jackie Bligh for winning through to the finals of the Encouraging Women into Franchising awards (EWIF) NatWest Woman franchisee of the year 2010.

The awards ceremony was held at the NatWest building in central London on May 10th, and recognised the most successful woman franchisees for the past year. The awards were the first of their kind, providing a unique opportunity to formally recognise the growing contribution women franchisees, women franchisors and women franchise service providers make to this sector.  The event was attended by over 150 people from throughout the world of franchising.
